Volunteers are an important factor in providing a loving and caring environment for the people living with HIV/AIDS. It is important for the people living with HIV/AIDS to know that healthy individuals do not fear the disease, will care for them, interact with them and give them unconditional love. Volunteers need to be enthusiastic and healthy to provide the energy, excitement and love needed to keep spirits high among the sick.

Some foreign volunteers will be required to live at the "Garden of Eden" and become an integral part of the community. They will assist in all aspects of daily life, from teaching the children, to providing comfort and support to all the residents. The volunteers may need to help with the agricultural chores or sometimes take those in need of medical attention to local hospitals.
