On the 11th of December, all the teenagers went to attend the Holy Mass in the special occasion of the final profession of 3 camillian brothers at the Ascension Church in Sampran, Nakornpathom Province and then we enjoyed meal together.

On the 16th of November, in the morning, all the teenagers came to attend the Holy Mass at the Center by Fr.Preeda Wiengchai.
On the 20th of November, in the afternoon we have received a visit from a French couple who are supporters. They stayed with us for 2 nights and attended the dinner’s party at the Center for the Loy Krathong’s Day.

On the 2nd of October, in the morning Mr. Mark and Mr. Paul with his friends who are one of the supporters of the Center brought all the teenagers and all the children at the Center and the Garden of Eden to Koh Samet at Rayong. They enjoyed eating and playing together. They were very happy. Before we left we sang song for thank you to the supporters. At the end of day we all wished them good luck and good health.

On the 3rd of August, in the evening, all the teenagers at the Independent Living Center went to the Charity Dinner at PMY Beach Resort at the Rayong Province this charity dinner was in support of children living with HIV/AIDS at the Camillian Social Center Rayong. The name of the event was “THE BRIDGE OF HOPE”. All the children from the independent living center were very excited to attend the Charity Dinner. In attendance was the assistant governor of the Rayong province and local show business celebrity’s who also gave a performance on stage. Our children also made up part of the entertainment by performing a song that they had spent a lot of their spare time practicing. Real good fun was had on the night by all.

On the 1st of August, in the morning, all the teenagers had activities together; they dug the trees and cut the grass around the Independent Living Center. Fr. Phakavee also went to help them at the Independent Living Center.
On the same day, in the afternoon, all the teenagers organized to clean the pool and eradicated the weeds in the pool at the Independent Living Center. They were very tired but they were very happy to do activities together. Fr. Phakavee also changed a new uniform for helping all the teenagers to clean the pool at the Independent Home.

On the 11th of July, Mr. Peter who is one of our supporters took all the children from the Center and all the teenagers from the Independent Living Center to dinner at Bangsara restaurant in Chonburi. They enjoyed with the delicious food together.
On the 19th of July, we celebrate the birthday for Fern 1. She is 14 years old. Fr. Preeda had dinner with all the teenagers and join Fern 1 birthday’s party and then he gave a gift to Fern 1 at the Independent Living Center.

On the 20th of June, Our center held two weddings at the Chapel of Mother Mary of Good Health at the Center, the priest presiding was Fr.Wuttikorn Phunyingyok. One of the Couples was the staffs from our Palliative Care Unit and the other was member from our Garden of Eden Project. All the teenagers from Independent living Center where in attendance and everyone at the center wished the two couples long lasting good look in their future lives.

From the 30th of April until the 2nd of May our Parish in Rayong held a camping opportunity for some of our teenagers who were May 1, Jame, Ree, Sai and Fern 1. We thank Fr. Somsak and Fr. Sompob from the church in Rayong, very much for this opportunity for our children. Naturally our children enjoyed the time away very much and want to go again next year.
On the 4th – 6th of May, all the teenagers went to a camping with the children from the Camillian Social Center and the children from the Lorenzo Home went to a resort at Pratumtane. Our teenagers were very happy to learn more, to receive the harmony, to understand about their life and meet many new friends. Thank you to the Catholic Committee for promoting HIV/AIDS activities.

Newsletter from the Independent Living Center April 2010 
On the 3rd of April, it was the Easter Vigil and the following day Easter feast which is very important here at the center. All the teenagers form Independent Living came to attend Holy Mass at the local parish and at the Camillian Center.
On the 5th – 10th of April, all the teenagers of Independent attended the Palliative Care Unit training organized by Br. Vutichai who’s responsible for the PCU project. On the first day, Brother gave lectures on how to take cared the patients; they were divided in teams to take care of the residents, starting from a shower at 05.30 AM of everyday. All the teenagers were happy and enjoyed to taking care of the patients and organizing activities, talking with them. It was an opportunity to be aware of how lucky they are and the importance to take care of them and to be responsible, not to spread the HIV infection with risky behavior. So Thanks too Brother very much from the teenagers for this lesson’s of life.

On the 1st of March, all the teenagers helped with spring cleaning around the center. Big cleaning day! They all were given a special job and they were very happy to do that.
On the 4th of March The Independent Living Center in Map Ta Phut welcomed a new member, Puritat Giansi or Eddie. He is 15 years old now and Father Giovanni thought it was time for him to take on the responsibility of caring for himself with adult supervision naturally. He has spent the last four years at the CSC Rayong and it is now time to move on in his life with us. The Independent Living Center social workers keep in daily contact with the CSC Rayong so any settling in problems are dealt with quickly. Eddie enjoys his freedom and autonomy.

On the 7th of February, the teenagers form Independent Living came to the main center for the opening of our newest building. This building is sponsored in its entirety by Mr. Prasit Chantratip who started a charitable foundation after the death of his own little girl due to illness some years ago. The new building rests on the sight of our old pagoda and follows the same hexagonal shape. It has three floors the first being continued as the eating and recreational area for the adult patients. The second floor is extra sleeping accommodation for our older boys. The third floor will be used for the boy’s recreation.

On the 1st of January, the teenagers had opportunity to come to attend the Holy Mass at the Center. We welcomed the year of tiger with a growing family.
On the 9th of January, the teenagers came to have lunch with everyone at the Center because Sr. Odil and some of the teachers from the St. Joseph Rayong School, who are supporting us. We now have three children from our Center who are learning at their school.
